Just. Beautiful. I felt selfish buying myself something for Christmas, but those feeling have been replaced with love and gratitude for the artist. This year has been a tough one. I keep joking and say my closest friends these days are Jesus, Zoloft and my mom. This past year, having gone though a painful divorce, a legal small claims case against my previous landlord when he cheated me out of thousands $, moving 3 times since summer, being laid off a few months ago from my beloved job that I had for the past 7 years, on top of raising a teenage son and 18-month old daughter in virtue and love of Christ- this beautiful image of Him holding a woman in pain with the now well-known symbolism of Kintsugi - lit up on my screen as I was scrolling for Christmas gifts for others.
